STERN THERAPY
Psychotherapy for Individuals, Couples, Families and Groups
WORKING TOGETHER
I aim to help clients bring awareness to their patterns of thoughts and feelings. I encourage clients to talk about their experiences and listen with acceptance, curiosity and empathy. Together, we explore the power of their significant relationships, both past and present in shaping their view of themselves and the world around them.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-worth, moving through grief and loss or managing stress, we will work through it together.
I work from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive framework that acknowledges the client's intersectionality (class, gender, race, sexual orientation, etc) and that explores how society impacts the client(s) experience. Everyone is welcome in my practice.

ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Aaron! Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the performing arts. My passion for creative collaboration and deep curiosity about the human condition inform my therapy practice. I'm particularly interested in attachment theory and how our own attachment patterns influence our adult relationships, how we parent our children and how we feel about ourselves in the world.
MY APPROACH
I offer a warm, creative, down-to-earth approach that is client-focused. I don't see myself as an expert or someone with all the answers but more of a collaborative guide. This work is hard, but it can also be fun. I believe in finding humour in the most challenging of times and these are challenging times!

GET IN TOUCH
“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”
― Brené Brown
